The Education Programme Limited is a multi-award winning company based in the North West of England that is a specialist in delivering services to schools.
The Education Programme was founded by CEO, Richard Kirkham. Over a decade ago to help support and meet the needs of all users within the education setting. We deliver an array of mainstream curricular services to Primary and Secondary Schools, both in the Public and Private arena.
We are also proud to work in specialised areas of SEND / EHCP students, Pupil Referral Units, Young offenders and Social Services, where we have attained excellent outcomes and a reputation of excellence.
The Education Programme offers two main services:
These are our Supply Staff Division and our Martial Arts Enrichment Division.
Our multi awarding winning Martial Arts Programme is split into two formats The Little Dragons for Primary Schools and The Dragons for Secondary Schools and older.
Our Supply Staff Division offers Schools, both Primary, Secondary and Academies. With qualified teachers and support staff that are fully vetted for short and long term placements throughout Greater Manchester.

Dear Richard. Thank you for another great year of provision at Buckton Vale from the Education Learning Program. The visit from Sophie with her Olympic medals was inspirational and something the pupils really enjoyed. The progression in the martial arts classes has been fantastic and, as always, very popular.
Many parents have commented on the quality of the lessons and the presentation assemblies, when pupils are presented with certificates. The progression for the children has also been wonderful to see. Not only in achieving their individual gradings, but the growth in confidence and respect of each other. Some of the children have led the sessions and the learning. I would recommend the programme to any school.
Richard recently visited St. Joseph’s RC Primary to deliver their Education Programme – working with KS 2. The children had a fantastic experience and learnt so much! From a teachers perspective it is great to see the strong emphasis on Fun and Team Work, which the children at all times fully embraced and this resulted in them getting so much out of the sessions!
Richard instantly developed fantastic relationships with the children, giving clear instructions and being so positive and encouraging during the many exciting activities that they had planned and delivered to the children! This all resulted in them managing to get the very best out of each and every child that took part in the sessions.
The children were at all times encouraged to push themselves but also to be aware of other classmates and to always help and encourage these children which I have found has added immensely to the enjoyment that the less able children got out of the sessions!
In short the children and staff at St. Joseph’s can’t speak highly enough of their Educational Programme experience.
Richard has been delivering Martial Arts sessions to Funky Fitness and Fun CIC for nearly a year . We are always very appreciative at how well planned the sessions are for our group of adults with a variety of additional needs. Sessions are differentiated appropriately and members understand the importance of following instructions in order to achieve good performance . Classes are delivered calmly and at the level of capacity our members can understand and move forward with a balance of ease as well as challenge. Members have gained so much confidence and overall have improved in stamina ,balance and ability to listen and follow instructions . Skills taught at each session have given members opportunities to develop their spatial awareness , precision, boosted self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. We had an awards ceremony in the summer and we were presented with white belt certificates . This was attended by some families of members who are extremely impressed by their achievements ,new skills and strength . Tutors are sensitive to the members individual needs and abilities and each member progresses at their own pace . Classes have improved body ,mind and spirit and I would highly recommend this martial arts service. Many thanks,
Richard and the Education Programme Ltd delivered an exciting and engaging martial arts day to the children in our Summer school and those participating in our transition week. The children ranged from 5 – 15 and all thoroughly enjoyed the activities and were introduced to a wide range of martial arts and the cultural aspects surrounding these.
We found Richard and to be very professional ensuring everyone remained safe whilst having fun and learning new skills, his approach was both engaging and active, encouraging and motivating the children throughout most of whom were new to the activities, some of the children have since expressed an interest in taking up martial arts outside of school
My son loves going to holiday club. He would ask if he was going during the school terms and wouldn’t like the answer. Richard and the staff are always polite and friendly. They will go out of their way to help you. My son likes them too and he’s is shy it takes him a while to get used to people, he got on with the staff almost straight away. The staff take into consideration all the children’s needs and requirements. It’s based in a great school. My son always comes back asleep which tells me that the children have an actioned packed day. You receive a break down of the day’s activities. My overall experience with the holiday club, Richard and the staff, the school and the activities I would certainly recommend others.”
