What a fantastic summer we are having at The Education Programme’s Holiday Club at Friezland School, we have made the best of the good weather and the not so good!!! There have been so many outdoor activities for the children to enjoy on the days where the weather wasn’t great, we have enjoyed watching some great films, played multi sports, the children got to join in on our Little Dragons Martial Arts Programme which they really enjoyed and made loom bands to name but a few activities. The Holiday Club has arrived at EPL

The Education programme is very excited to inform you that we have just completed our first Holiday Club at Friezland Primary School, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience, all the children were in such good spirits and had an enormous amount of fun whilst learning with our fully qualified teachers and our fabulous qualified sport coaches;

Phillip was quoted as saying

“The two weeks were a magical time for not only the children, but also myself, we played some great games and learnt lots of new things.  I am looking forward to our May Holiday Club for more fun and excitement”

Our qualified teacher Martin said

“After speaking to a parent, her daughter who used to go to a different holiday club gave our holiday club a chance and has already booked for the May holiday club and the Summer, I have enjoyed the past two weeks a great deal”

Head Teacher: Mr C Hanson

24th November 2013
Dear Richard,
What a fantastic two days at Corpus Christi!
Having working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify the need for a Martial Arts club at school, we were also conscious that the activities must be bespoke to the needs of our children.
By researching different providers of Martial Arts and having listened carefully to recommendations from neighbouring schools we decided to invite the Education Programme to work with us at Corpus Christi. We have never looked back.
The two workshops you delivered earlier this year were pitched perfectly for the needs, age and abilities of our children who clearly enjoyed the sessions. Your instructors not only engaged, motivated and stimulated the children they obviously cared about their development.
The warm up sessions were just long enough ensuring that the children understood the importance of a warm up, were physically challenged appropriately and enjoyed them throughout. The manner in which you linked this initial input to the main activity was commendable.
It was pleasing to witness our harder to reach pupils along with pupils with specific disabilities engaging with the sessions feeling that your instructors valued them greatly. Your activities were designed to suit their needs and as a result, they made huge progress in their knowledge, skills and understanding of Martial Arts.
Thank you for agreeing to deliver the weekly ‘Little Dragons’ club for our KS2 children. The take up has been unprecedented and the children are undoubtedly enjoying working their way through your fantastic grading system which links well to our PSHCE curriculum! The children know that only hard work, determination, cooperation and focus will lead to them working their way through the ranks!
Your club is now an important feature of our school and we are grateful for your assistance in the development of the curriculum and enrichment opportunities on offer to the children.
Yours sincerely,
Mr C Hanson

St. James Graduation Ceremony

On Monday 7th October 2013 the pupils at St James school completed their Level 1 course “Martial Arts Around The World”.  They all did extremely well and many of their parents were there to see what they had learnt during their 10 week course.  We are looking forward to seeing them all back to commence Level 2, and to welcome our new intake of Level 1 students

Presentation at St. Stephens

What a fantastic afternoon The Education Programme had at St. Stephens on Wednesday 24th July.  All the children did the school, family and themselves proud.  They have now completed their 10 week introduction into Martial Arts Around the World course and each child received a certificate and their Level 1 badge which they can put on their gi’s ready for next term when they will be doing their Level 2 badge.  Below are some photographs of their achievement

Out of the class there were a number of children who were recognised for their outstanding behaviour and contribution to Martial Arts and following are the photographs of their awards

We would like to extend our thanks to all the children and the staff at St. Stephens and we look forward to seeing you in September

Presentation at Poplar Street

Yet another highly successful 10 week Martial Arts Around the World Course completed by The Education Programme. The school, parents and most importantly the dedicated children at Poplar Street are all going to be attending The EPL’s Little Dragons Club in September to work their way through the belt system.

A special thank you to Ian The Head Teacher, Claire and all the team for supporting the children, who knows we might have a future world champion in the mix.

Below are a few pictures of EPL’s Little Dragons receiving their certificates of their graduation in Level 1. There are also some students who demonstrated throughout the 10 week programme qualities linked to the core principles of Martial Arts so they attained the unique citizen principle badges.

The new 10 week course starts in September so spaces are limited so children will need to apply via the school
